A wacky dwarf form of Bald Cypress that is quickly becoming one of our favorites. Plants develop an irregular, rounded form and literally cover themselves with clusters of rounded, 1" cones. Plants grow only 1-2" a year and are expected to reach 5' x 5' when mature. Learn More

A very rare and unusual bald cypress with branches that twist and contort in an irregular fashion as the plant gains height. Foliage is rich green during the growing season and is contorted and clustered along the stems appearing more like a juvenile cedar than a bald cypress. Certainly unique among the deciduous conifers. Taxodium distichum 'Hursley Park' - Hursley Park Bald Cypress

    $25.00

    Out of stock

Yet another charming dwarf form of bald cypress that has caught our attention. This cultivar dates back to a witches’ broom discovered in Hampshire, England’s Hursley Park in the mid 1960’s. The plant itself is still relatively new to our trials yet has taken on a low, broad form with annual growth of 2-3”. The foliage is densely arranged along the stems and brighter green than the other cultivars in the collection. Ultimate size is still unknown yet we have a hunch that 4’ high and 6’ wide is a reasonable prediction. Learn More
  6. Taxodium distichum 'Little Leaf' - Little Leaf Bald Cypress

Taxodium distichum 'Little Leaf' - Little Leaf Bald Cypress

    $35.00

    Out of stock

A bizarre yet irresistible bald cypress cultivar that has caused a “what the heck is that” response on multiple occasions. The upright, loosely branched plants boast thin, amber stems that are cloaked with the cutest, teeny-tiniest deep green leaves you can imagine. In autumn, like the species the foliage turns to rich shades of golden-bronze. Plants are moderate growers adding as much as 18” of new growth each year. ‘Little Leaf’ is most certainly not a main stream plant yet we’re confident that a number will find their way into the gardens of our plant obsessed friends! 15-20’ Learn More

The compact plants have sturdy, dense branches cloaked with fine-textured, fresh green foliage throughout the season. Bright, bronze-gold fall color and sculpted winter branch structure provide added seasonal appeal. Should mature around 12' tall. Learn More
