Yet another improved full moon maple that we're giving a shot. Plants burst forth in spring with rich orange and red emerging growth that transitions to shades of chartreuse and gold during the growing season. Plants are reported to be strong growers with good sun tolerance and will develop into sizeable open branched plants in time. By all accounts this selection appears to be a vastly improved version of the original full moon maple (Acer shirasawanum ‘Aureum’) though the true test will happen in the garden.
