Another highly desirable male cultivar of ginkgo that originated at the Saratoga Research Institute. 'Saratoga' forms a squat, cone-shaped habit of irregular branches that are cloaked with tightly packed leaves. Foliage is considerably longer than typical and marked with a prominent split that deeply divides each leaf. The overall effect is a lacy, fine-textured appearance. Plants are moderate growers reaching 5-8' over a ten year period.
