Another choice selection developed by Jim Ault from the Chicago Botanic Garden. This false indigo bears solid upright stems with attractive blue-green foliage. By mid to late May into early June the 12-18" inflorescences gently open to a lemony-yellow then gradually fade to a bronzy-orange. The floral display, producing hundreds of flowers, will last 2-3 weeks. The mature 3-4' tall and wide plants once established are very drought tolerant. Grow in full sun in average soils with good drainage.
