An extraordinary and unjustly rare Asian inhabitant of the spindletree family that we first became acquainted with while strolling the grounds of the New York Botanical Garden one crisp October afternoon. A fine specimen of this small tree species was in outstanding glossy-burgundy autumn dress at the time and an instant friendship was formed. During the growing season, the 20’ tree’s wide spreading branches boast sleek green leaves that are lustrous and free from disease. Curious, four-petaled beige blossoms gain attention in spring as does autumn’s crop of pendulous pinkish-orange fruit. In the garden, plants are as durable as other members of the genus demonstrating tolerance to varied soil and light conditions. While plants will never become mainstream we find them exceptional and worthy of consideration by those of you with an adventurous style.

- For fall, our plants will be shipped from March 11th (weather dependent) until the week of April 26th.
- Changing Your Order - If you have an order that has been placed, the only way to modify it is by emailing us.
- Shipping Charges - Due to increasing costs associated with shipping plants and the time required to package orders we have established a 30% flat shipping fee for all plant orders in the Northeast, 40% flat shipping fee for remaining states east of the Mississippi River and a 45% flat shipping fee for all states west of the Mississippi River. There is a $30, $40, or $45 minimum shipping fee, depending on your region, for plant orders under $100. A small number of oversized plants have an additional $10 surcharge.
- Shipping Restrictions - Mail-order is restricted to the plants that are included in the mail-order section of our website. Unfortunately we are unable to ship plants to AK, AZ, CA, CO, FL, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, or WA.
- Shipment Period - We ship plants in the fall from September - November and in the spring from March - May. All shipments are weather and plant growth dependent.
- Guarantee - We guarantee that all plants sold by Broken Arrow Nursery are healthy and true to name when they leave the nursery.
- Please contact us within 5 days of the receipt of your order if such is not the case. If we are at fault we will replace the plant in question or issue a nursery credit for the purchase price of the plant. We are unable to guarantee plants that are improperly cared for after delivery.
