IPM

We follow the sustainable principles of Integrated Pest Management. IPM is a practice of first identifying pest problems and then determining a threshold for action. In some instances, the action may be the release of beneficial insects, in others it could be cultural adjustment or chemical treatment - selecting pest free cultivars and accepting that we cannot grow everything is part of the process as well. We have found that, with our wide diversity of plants in relatively small numbers, naturally occurring predators often are already actively balancing out any problems.
