An outstanding selection of fragrant winterhazel introduced by Pennsylvania's famed Longwood Gardens. 'Longwood Chimes' puts forth an amazing display of bright-green hued, yellow blossoms in early spring. Each flower emits an intoxicating sweet perfume that can be enjoyed from some distance. Plants assume a wide spreading habit typical of the species yet show improved frost tolerance as the blossoms develop up to two weeks later than most other Corylopsis.
