A recent selection introduced by Peter Del Tredici of the Arnold Arboretum. Reported to be a hybrid between Stewartia pseudocamellia and S. ovata var. grandiflora. The overall appearance is similar to typical S. pseudocamellia, however, the large white flowers are punctuated with striking rose-pink stamens rather than the more typical yellow stamens. Plants are very difficult to propagate yet are among the finest of the growing list of stewartia cultivars! We are excited to be one of the only sources in the world for this choice selection.
