A kissing cousin to the ashe magnolia offering up many of the same ornamental qualities. Massive bold textured silver backed leaves to 2' long coupled with immense white blossoms in late May and early June are cornerstone qualities. The leaves are among the largest of any native North American species. Though plants take their time to reach flowering age we feel the wait is well worth it. The pyramidal plants are excellent in rich, woodland soils creating an imposing tropical feel in the garden.
